Casey House Renovation & Expansion
Casey House, a specialized healthcare facility for individuals with HIV/AIDS, undertook an extensive renovation and expansion of their existing heritage-designated building.
The new Casey House facility allows for the introduction of a substantial HIV/AIDS Day Health Program that services 200 registered clients.
Located in downtown Toronto, the project involved renovating the historic mansion currently on the site and connecting it with an environmentally advanced, state-of-the-art new hospital housing 14 sub-acute patient rooms, along with a variety of outpatient supportive health services.
The building design grants sufficient space to client and administrative areas, reception, as well as a dining room, communal spaces, basement, parking, and storage.
The substantial addition brings much-needed space and modernized amenities while embracing the existing heritage building and providing a private sanctuary for clients to promote healing and emotional well-being.
