What Is Embodied Carbon Analysis?
Embodied Carbon Analysis involves estimating the greenhouse gas emissions that would result from the construction of a new building. An ECA can provide you with the answers you need to support high-performance outcomes, control costs, and achieve high-quality design.
Working with Our Clients for a Sustainable Future
With an embodied carbon analysis from Entuitive, our clients can:
Compare different structural and building envelope systems given the project’s sustainability goals and budget.
Comply with municipal requirements, such as the Toronto Green Standard, and the City of Vancouver Policy for Rezoning for new builds.
Prepare for third-party certifications, such as LEED, and the CAGBC Zero Carbon Building Standard.
Integrated Expertise
With the expertise of both our structural engineering and building envelope teams, our Sustainable Performance team understands how to add value to each project and meet sustainability and embodied carbon targets for a wide range of building types and sizes. We are well informed regarding the complex regulatory environments where we work and can support projects across North America and beyond.
Our team leads the industry in sustainable building and infrastructure certifications, including Zero Carbon Building, LEED, BuiltGreen, Toronto Green Standard, Envision, Living Building Challenge, Zero Energy, Zero Carbon, WELL, Fitwel, SITES, Passive House, Green Globes, and more. Our Entuitive Sustainability Program can also create a custom-fit solution for clients who seek to go beyond the ordinary high-performing building.
Meet Our Expert: Oscar Valdes
