At Entuitive, we have a great team of creative, collaborative, and advanced people, and that includes our talented co-op students. In this post, Lalita Chote, Marketing and Communications co-op, shares her experience working on a variety of projects, including writing behind the project articles and monitoring Entuitive's social media and website performance.
I first discovered Entuitive through my college’s co-op job board. I was immediately drawn to the marketing and communications position because of the writing and research aspect of the role – skills that I have developed during my studies.
After researching more about the company, I discovered that Entuitive is B-Corp certified, which really resonated with me since I had recently learned about sustainability and ethical business practices in my classes. I admired Entuitive’s commitment to environmental and social responsibility, as well the firm’s transparency in their practices, which is why I was eager to apply.
Upon starting my first day at Entuitive, I had mixed emotions of nervousness and excitement. This was my first co-op placement and introduction to a professional office environment. However, as I met the other co-op students and was greeted by the friendly faces of People & Culture and IT, I felt so much more at ease. After meeting my team, I was even more excited for what the coming months would bring.
Working on the Marcomm team was very fun and diverse. Every week was different, and I carried out a variety of tasks that gave me the chance to explore and assist with different aspects of the team’s operations. One of my favorite projects was taking employee headshots for the Toronto office to update their Teams photos. I enjoyed this task because it gave me the opportunity to meet and interact with people from various departments, helping me build connections.
Another task I thoroughly enjoyed was writing articles for the blog and newsletter, especially the “Behind the Project” pieces. These were my favourite, as I had the chance to learn more about some of Entuitive’s exciting and innovative projects through interviews with team members who worked on them.
I also had the opportunity to monitor Entuitive’s social media and website performance to create reports for the team. I found it very interesting to analyze the data and brainstorm strategies to engage our audience. It was a perfect blend of creativity and analytics, which allowed me to further build my digital marketing skills.
My co-op experience at Entuitive has been a rewarding and fun experience filled with valuable lessons. To future co-op students, I would offer one important piece of advice, and that is to never be afraid to ask questions. Whether it’s about a task or the company culture, asking questions is a great way to grow and everyone at Entuitive is more than happy to help. The supportive culture here made my experience truly memorable, and I’m thankful that my team trusted me to take the lead on various projects. I want to give a special thank you to my team – Melody Lau, Rita Zerhouni, Andrea Kovarcsik, Ashley Ang, Mason Huber, and Jennifer McKay – for making my time at Entuitive so enjoyable and for their constant support throughout my journey!
